Functional health
What is functional medicine?
The Institute of Functional Medicine describes this “biology-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease.”
Using this approach, we take an in-depth look at your current and past health concerns. We begin with a thorough personal, family, social, and medical history, potentially including local lab work to look for signs of pathological changes or dysfunctional responses. You will then be given personally guided approach to lifestyle, diet, exercise changes along with targeted supplements to begin your journey of healing.
Additional testing may be suggested to include food sensitivity testing, GI testing, and/or hormone testing. It is important to us that this investigation is accessible so we do try to avoid blanket testing to keep costs lower.
