Physical Therapy

Dr. Karrie Thompson brings years of experience, a gentle and knowledgeable presence, and a genuine love for helping people reconnect to their bodies. A Florida Panhandle native, she earned her B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Florida in 2008 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2014.

Karrie began her physical therapy journey after years as a dancer, inspired by how movement can both heal and harm depending on the body's needs. As her passion for women’s health grew, she went on to complete the full Herman & Wallace Pelvic Floor Series and began specializing in pelvic floor therapy in 2016.

She treats a wide range of general orthopedic conditions, with a strong focus on pregnancy and postpartum recovery, including prolapse, incontinence, and pelvic pain. Karrie also offers dry needling, manual therapy, and nervous system-informed movement therapy to support healing from multiple angles.

As a mother of two, Karrie deeply understands how transformative (and vulnerable) these seasons can be—and she’s here to help you return to your life feeling strong, capable, and cared for.

what we treat

what to expect

  • Whether you're navigating chronic pain, an injury, or movement limitations, general physical therapy offers a comprehensive approach to healing through hands-on treatment, exercise, and education.

    Your first visit includes:

    • A full evaluation of your condition

    • Some initial treatment

    • A personalized home program

    Examples we treat:

    • Back, neck, shoulder, or joint pain

    • Mobility or postural issues

    • Running or lifting difficulties

    • Chronic headaches or tension

    • Return to activity after injury or surgery

  • Pelvic floor therapy supports the deep muscles of the pelvis that play an essential role in core stability, bladder and bowel control, sexual function, and postpartum recovery.

It’s not just for postpartum—it’s for anyone experiencing pain, pressure, or dysfunction in the pelvic region.

    Your comfort is always prioritized.
Internal exams are never required and will only be offered if appropriate and if you feel comfortable. We tailor every session to your needs and level of readiness.

    Conditions we treat include:

    • Pelvic pain (vaginal, rectal, or abdominal)

    • Pain with intercourse

    • Prolapse (heaviness, pressure, dragging sensation)

    • Urinary or fecal incontinence

    • Postpartum healing and scar work

    • Difficulty returning to movement or exercise

  • Dry needling is a targeted treatment that helps release tight muscles, reduce pain, and restore function. It's often used alongside physical therapy to accelerate healing and improve mobility.

New Patient Appointments include a brief evaluation and treatment of up to 2–3 areas.
Established patients can book as a stand-alone or add-on service.
Add-on Option available during any PT session (1 area).
